What to Expect When You Visit
Our Earth City facility is open to walk-in visitors during business hours. Here is what you can expect when you arrive:
- Parking: Free customer parking available directly in front of our main office. Additional truck/trailer parking available in our side lot for larger vehicles picking up bulk orders.
- Check-In: Enter through the main office door. A team member will greet you and help you with your purchase, pickup, or drop-off.
- Browse Inventory: You are welcome to walk our yard and inspect IBCs before purchasing. Staff can guide you to specific grades, sizes, or prior-content types. We typically have 100-300 IBCs in stock across all grades.
- Loading: We load purchases onto your truck or trailer using our forklifts at no additional charge. If you are picking up 1-3 IBCs in a pickup truck, we can accommodate that — just make sure your vehicle can handle the weight (empty IBCs are ~130 lbs each).
- Payment: We accept cash, check, credit cards (Visa/MC/Amex), and business purchase orders for established accounts. No appointment needed for purchases.
- Selling/Recycling IBCs: If you are bringing IBCs to sell or recycle, pull up to our receiving dock. A team member will assess your tanks and provide an immediate cash quote.

Includes O'Fallon, Chesterfield, Florissant, Arnold, Belleville, Edwardsville, Troy, and Wentzville. Delivery fee of $50-$100 for orders under 10 units. Same-day or next-day service available.

Includes Columbia (MO), Springfield (IL), Cape Girardeau, Jefferson City, Rolla, Quincy (IL), and surrounding areas. Delivery fees range from $75-$250 depending on distance and quantity. Free delivery possible for large orders (25+ units). Typical lead time: 2-3 business days.
Regional Shipping (150+ miles) — LTL Freight
Anywhere in the continental US via our carrier partners. Common destinations: Chicago, Kansas City, Memphis, Indianapolis, Nashville, Des Moines. Transit time: 2-5 business days. Freight quotes provided within 24 hours.
Emergency & After-Hours Contact
We understand that urgent situations arise outside of standard business hours. Here is how to reach us for time-sensitive needs:
Rush Orders (Same-Day / Next-Day): Call during business hours. We maintain ready stock of Grade B and C tanks that can be dispatched within hours. Rush delivery fees apply ($50-$150 over standard pricing). Available for up to 10 units same-day within 30 miles.
After-Hours Urgent Emails:Send to info@stlouisibcrecycle.com with "URGENT" in the subject line. We monitor urgent emails outside business hours and respond as quickly as possible for genuine emergencies (spill containment, production shutdowns, time-critical needs).
Spill Response Support: If you have experienced an IBC failure or spill, we can provide empty replacement containers for emergency product transfer. We also accept damaged IBCs for recycling, even if heavily contaminated.
Getting Here
Our facility is conveniently located in Earth City, MO, just off I-70 near the intersection with Rider Trail. We're easily accessible from downtown St. Louis (15 minutes), St. Charles (10 minutes), Chesterfield (20 minutes), and all surrounding areas. Earth City is the region's primary industrial/logistics park with roads designed for commercial truck traffic.
From I-70 (Eastbound or Westbound): Take Exit 231B onto Earth City Expressway. Continue straight 0.3 miles. Turn right onto Rider Trail N. Our facility is approximately 0.5 miles on the left at 13750 Rider Trail N.
From I-270: Take I-270 to I-70 West. Continue approximately 2 miles to Exit 231B (Earth City Expressway). Turn right onto Rider Trail N. Facility is 0.5 miles on the left.
From Downtown St. Louis: Take I-70 West for approximately 15 miles. Exit 231B (Earth City Expressway). Right on Rider Trail N. Look for our signage. Typical drive time: 18-22 minutes depending on traffic.
From Illinois: Cross the Poplar Street Bridge or Stan Musial Bridge into Missouri. Merge onto I-70 West approximately 12 miles to Exit 231B. Total drive time from Collinsville/Fairview Heights: 25-30 minutes.
Large Trucks & Trailers: Our facility has a dedicated truck entrance with wide turning radius suitable for 53-foot trailers. No height restrictions on approach roads. Follow signage to the truck receiving area.

Do I need an appointment to buy IBCs?
No. Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. However, if you need a specific grade, size, or quantity, calling ahead ensures we have what you need in stock and staged for quick loading.
Can I pick up IBCs with a regular pickup truck?
Yes, for empty IBCs. A full-size pickup truck bed can fit 1 IBC (48x40 inch footprint). We load it with a forklift. For full IBCs, you need a trailer rated for the weight (2,400+ lbs). A standard 5x8 or 6x10 utility trailer works perfectly for 1-2 units.
What information should I include in my inquiry?

How quickly will I get a price quote?
